How to configure Outlook with POP?

  1. Launch the Outlook application and open the Tools menu.
  2. Select Account Settings, then choose Email Accounts and click Email.
  3. Click New to open the Add new email account window.
  4. Select Manually configure Server settings or Additional Server Types, and click Next.
  5. Select Internet Email in the window that appears and click Next.
  6. Enter the following information:
    1. User Information
      1. Your Name: Your preferred display name
      2. E-mail Address: Your Samurai email address
    2. Account Type: Select POP3
    3. Server Information :
      1. Incoming mail server: poppro.zoho.com
      2. Outgoing mail server: smtp.zoho.com
      3. Username: Your samurai email
      4. Password: Your email password.
  7. Select Remember Password
  8. Click More Settings, for advanced configuration details.
    1. Select Outgoing Server from the dialog box that appears.
    2. Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
    3. Select the option Use same settings as my Incoming server
  9. Select Advanced to specify the port details for the POP and SMTP servers.
    1. Incoming Server (POP3): 995
    2. Select This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
    3. Outgoing Server (SMTP): 465
    4. Select SSL from the drop down for encrypted connection
    5. Select Leave a copy of messages on the server
    6. Click Ok to save the settings and exit to the Add new email account window.
  10. Select Test Account Settings to check the settings for incoming and outgoing servers.
  11. Once the tests are successfully completed, Outlook will display the dialog below.
  12. Select Close and Finish to save the configurations and exit.

  • username: email address
  • Port: 995
  • Require SSL

SMTP Settings

  • Outgoing mail server: smtp.zoho.com
  • Port: 465
  • Require SSL
