How to configure Outlook with POP?
- Launch the Outlook application and open the Tools menu.
- Select Account Settings, then choose Email Accounts and click Email.
- Click New to open the Add new email account window.
- Select Manually configure Server settings or Additional Server Types, and click Next.
- Select Internet Email in the window that appears and click Next.
- Enter the following information:
- User Information
- Your Name: Your preferred display name
- E-mail Address: Your Samurai email address
- Account Type: Select POP3
- Server Information :
- Incoming mail server: poppro.zoho.com
- Outgoing mail server: smtp.zoho.com
- Username: Your samurai email
- Password: Your email password.
- User Information
- Select Remember Password
- Click More Settings, for advanced configuration details.
- Select Outgoing Server from the dialog box that appears.
- Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
- Select the option Use same settings as my Incoming server
- Select Advanced to specify the port details for the POP and SMTP servers.
- Incoming Server (POP3): 995
- Select This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
- Outgoing Server (SMTP): 465
- Select SSL from the drop down for encrypted connection
- Select Leave a copy of messages on the server
- Click Ok to save the settings and exit to the Add new email account window.
- Select Test Account Settings to check the settings for incoming and outgoing servers.
- Once the tests are successfully completed, Outlook will display the dialog below.
- Select Close and Finish to save the configurations and exit.
